My park's hours or season are wrong on Google. How do I fix it?
Google shows a park's hours from the Business Profile, and the profile was often claimed by someone who is no longer at the park. The fix starts with getting the profile back.
SHORT ANSWER
Fix the Google Business Profile first. If you cannot sign in, the profile was claimed by a former owner or manager and you request ownership through Google, which takes a few days. Set the hours by season, the closing date, and the primary category of RV park or campground. Then make the website say the same thing in its footer and on its contact page. Then check Apple Maps, Bing, Yelp, Campendium, RV Life, and Good Sam, because the directories copy each other and will bring the old hours back if they are left alone.
Where the wrong hours come from
The profile was claimed in 2017 by a manager and verified to an email nobody has. The hours say open in January for a park that closes in October. Or a guest suggested an edit and Google accepted it. Or a directory with the old season fed Google its data. Google takes hours from the profile first, and it checks the profile against the web, so a mismatch anywhere can show up in the panel.
The order to fix it in
The profile first, because it decides what shows in the panel and on the map. Sign in, set regular hours, add seasonal hours or a closing date, mark the park temporarily closed for the off season if that is true, and confirm the primary category is RV park or campground. The website second: the footer on every page and the contact page carry the hours and the season, and the structured data says the same thing, so the source of truth is unambiguous. The directories third: Apple Maps, Bing Places, Yelp, Campendium, RV Life, Good Sam, and the state tourism site.
If you cannot get into the profile
Search the park's name, open the panel, and use the link to claim or request ownership. Google emails the current owner and gives them a few days to respond. If they do not, the profile transfers to you. A park sold with the profile still in the previous owner's name is the most common version of this problem, and it is the one worth fixing before anything else about the listing.
Why it comes back
Directories re-import old data on their own schedule. A listing you corrected in April can show the old closing date again by August because another directory it copies from was never fixed. The Listings + Reviews band keeps the profile and the directories matched to the site and checks them monthly for that reason. If the website itself says closed, that is a different fix.

How long does a Google hours change take to show?
Changes you make in the profile show within a day. An ownership request takes a few days while Google waits on the current owner.
Should I mark the park temporarily closed in the off season?
Yes, if it is true. Google shows the closure and the reopening date, and guests stop calling a closed office. Set the reopening date so the profile does not read as permanently closed.
Can guests change my hours on Google?
Guests can suggest edits, and Google sometimes accepts them without asking you. Checking the profile monthly catches those.
Why does Apple Maps show different hours than Google?
Apple Maps is a separate listing with its own data. It has to be claimed and set on its own, and the same goes for Bing.
